I am currently a senior high school student, attending a public school. I have consistently maintained high academic results throughout my academic journey. I am honored to have been selected as a recipient of the Digital Egyptian Initiative Club scholarship. This prestigious scholarship, sponsored by the Ministry of Informatics and supported by Udacity, recognizes my exceptional potential and dedication to the field of technology. In addition to my core curriculum, I actively engage in a wide range of supplementary courses to expand my knowledge and skills. This proactive approach allows me to stay abreast of the latest developments in various domains. Furthermore, I am proud to be bilingual. This linguistic ability enhances my communication skills and enables me to effectively engage with a global community. I am thrilled to announce that I have been selected as a fully funded scholar in the Scholarship Academy by Empower Hub. Furthermore, I am honored to have been awarded the prestigious Empower 2030 Leaders Scholarship, supported by the US Embassy, Empower Hub, and AmidEast Egypt. Out of a pool of 1407 talented individuals, only 60 leaders were chosen for this incredible opportunity. Throughout the scholarship program, we had the privilege of participating in workshops, seminars, and networking events, where we learned from renowned experts and industry leaders. We explored various topics such as effective communication, teamwork, and environmental sustainability. These experiences have equipped me with the knowledge and skills necessary to make a meaningful impact. In addition to my academic pursuits, I have always had a deep passion for reading. I find solace and inspiration in the pages of books, immersing myself in different worlds and perspectives. One particular area of interest for me is astronomy. The vastness of the universe and the mysteries it holds never fail to captivate my imagination. - What ignited your pursuit for SDGs especially the goals you believe in?
There were several factors that ignited my pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly the goals that I strongly believe in, some are; realizing that The world is facing numerous challenges such as inequality, peace and justice, or lack of access to education and healthcare. Recognizing the urgency and magnitude of these issues, I felt a deep sense of responsibility to be part of the solution. Gaining knowledge about the SDGs and their importance through education, workshops, or awareness campaigns ignited a passion for creating a better world. Understanding the interconnectedness of these goals and their potential impact on society was a driving force for action. Each individual has their own set of values and beliefs that shape their worldview. If I strongly believe in principles such as equality, justice, and education, it is natural for me to align my pursuits with the SDGs that reflect those values..
- Please share your biggest wins as an SDGs advocate
As an SDGs advocate, one of my biggest wins was participating in a project during my time in DECI that aimed to create a better, smart, and environmentally friendly future for Egypt. This project aligned with several SDGs, including Goal 7: Affordable and Clean Energy, Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, and Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities. Through this project, we focused on implementing sustainable practices and technologies to address key environmental challenges in Egypt. - Outside of your SDGs advocacy work, what do you enjoy doing?
In addition to my dedicated work as an SDGs advocate, I find great pleasure in engaging with various intellectual pursuits outside of my advocacy work. One of my greatest passions is reading, my love for books has been ingrained in me from a very young age. I have been an avid reader since the tender age of 2. This early exposure to books and storytelling has nurtured my imagination. Among the genres that captivate my interest are self-development, fantasy, psychology, and astronomy. Each genre offers a unique realm of knowledge and inspiration, enabling me to continuously expand my understanding of the world. Furthermore, I have a deep appreciation for languages. During my free time, I enthusiastically dedicate myself to learning new languages. Currently, I am immersed in the process of learning German. In my quest for continuous learning, I particularly enjoy engaging in online courses that delve into the fascinating field of astronomy. Through these courses, I have the opportunity to explore the wonders of the universe, understand celestial phenomena, and gain insights into the mysteries of the cosmos. - Languages Spoken with your level (beginner, intermediate, advanced Native or advanced fluent)
