Our project will provide Innovative Sustainable Education Methodologies related to Sustainability Awareness in Climate Change.

With creative approaches in social media & marketing, to student unions & activities leaders of the Egyptian universities, and civil society youth leaders, to qualify them to execute collective media campaigns, that propose existing SERIOUS disasters related to climate change, in a positive, solution-oriented way.

Why do we advocate for climate?

  • There’s only one tree per each person in Egypt, while there are much more in Middle East and African countries. Therefore, the culture of planting or taking care of trees, isn't common or popular in Egypt
  • Egypt produces 5.4 million tons of plastic annually, making it the most plastic polluter in the Arab World. A recent report by the WWF also revealed that Egypt is the biggest source of plastic polluting the Mediterranean, pouring in 250,000 tons every year.
  • Climate awareness in Egypt still needs a lot of processing. Egypt is ranked 66 in the list of the most environmentally-friendly-countries.
CLIMATE LEADERS HUB

Our Objectives

  • Carefully selected 48 young leaders divided into 12 teams of 4 members each. (Age group: 18-26)
  • Each team produces collective media campaigns that propose existing SERIOUS climate change disasters.
  • The teams participate in a 75-day action plan where they receive intensive training on climate and SDGs
  • 6-8 campaigns get selectively posted from the 12 campaigns from each group in the implementation phase.
  • Hold a zero single-use plastic dinner as a closing conference.
