  • A brief bio:

"My name is. Yusuf, and I am 19 years old. My journey has been filled with diverse experiences that have shaped my understanding of community service leadership. I began my volunteer work at Resala, where I developed my leadership skills while managing medical convoys in rural areas with a talented team.I then joined Life Makers Organization, where I served as an intake coordinator, working to understand the needs of individuals and helping them access the aid our organization provides. One of my most enriching experiences at Life Makers was participating as the Head of Activation for the Haniwsalak initiative in Cairo, where I led efforts to support the integration of persons with disabilities into our community. My journey continued as I volunteered as a psychological assistant at Baheya, an experience that deepened my understanding of mental health support. Subsequently, I became involved with the SDGs Community, attending workshops such as ACTS and Empower Hub programs, including ""Empower Your Choice."" Additionally, I participated in the Ambassadors for Climate initiative, advocating for climate action and awareness.Currently, I believe that addressing these critical issues is more important than ever. I am eager to begin my next chapter, seeking new opportunities to make a positive impact and spread awareness about the causes I am passionate about."

  • What ignited your pursuit for SDGs especially the goals you believe in?
  • Please share your biggest wins as an SDGs advocate

I had the honor of being selected as a leader in the Arabic Leaders Camp, where I taught my group members how to collaborate on community and climate action projects. Together with some amazing individuals from the SDGs Community, we developed a website dedicated to promoting climate awareness and supporting other groups by fostering effective communication. Our website focused on sustainable crops, allowing us to engage with rural areas and effectively share our mission. Also one of my proudest accomplishments has been graduating from the Ambassadors for Climate program and becoming an active member of such an inspiring community.Completing programs like INCO and ACTS has significantly enhanced my understanding of sustainability, and I was specifically astonished by the Empower Your Choice program, because it has elevated my skills in this field. And now I'm about to dedicate my time to spread climate awareness and share knowledge with others.
