"My name is Roaa Moustafa, and I am a Computers and AI student at Cairo University. I have a deep passion for programming, particularly in data analysis, where I enjoy uncovering insights to make informed decisions. My journey into this field began at a young age and was marked by personal challenges. Born with a stuttering speech disorder, I faced a lack of awareness and understanding in my school and community. Many dismissed my condition as shyness or nervousness. Despite these obstacles, I excelled academically, especially in mathematics, which fueled my decision to pursue a career in technology. I am also deeply committed to gender equality, especially in STEM fields. I've noticed that the number of girls in computer science is about half that of boys, and I've often been told that this field isn't suitable for girls. These experiences have motivated me to advocate for greater female representation in STEM. I started an initiative to raise awareness about stuttering and to promote understanding within the community. My goal is to break down barriers and encourage more girls to enter and thrive in technology and science."

Biggest Wins

One of my biggest wins as an SDGs advocate is starting an initiative to raise awareness about stuttering in my community. By sharing my own experiences, I've helped others understand this speech disorder better, reducing stigma and promoting inclusivity.

Hobbies

"I am highly interested in the field of media and digital marketing, and I work in this area as much as I can. I am involved in both radio and television presenting, as well as working as a digital marketer. Additionally, I have recently started my journey as a content creator, producing educational and news content, while also helping young people learn from the knowledge I have gained. "
